European Juniors Day 4

Conor Ferguson was the first Irish swimmer in action this morning in the 50m Backstroke, and what a start. Not only did Conor make the semi-final, he is also the second fastest qualifier going into it.

Despite spirited swims in the 200m Freestlye by Jack McMillan and Robert Powell, neither progressed to the semi’s.

Rebecca Reid and Ellen Walshe raced in the 200m IM, with Rebecca qualifying for the semi-final.

The 100m Breaststroke saw both Mona McSharry and Niamh Coyne progress to the semi-finals, with Mona ranked as fastest going into it.

Today also saw Ireland’s mixed relay team in action in the 4x100m Medley, they have qualified for the finals and are ranked 3rd going in.

The afternoon session is due to start at 15:30 Irish time (17:30 Israeli time).
