Day 3 was another successfull day for Ireland, in the morning. Rebecca Reid won her heat in the 50m Backstroke, however she did not make the semi-final.
There were good swims by Rachel Bethel in the 200m Freestyle and Ellen Walshe in the 100m Butterfly. Mona Mcsharry continued to put her mark on the world of swimming with her second medal of the meet. A silver in the 200m Breastroke.
