It’s great to see the next generation of Irish swimmers in action at the European Junior Swimming Championship in Israel. The squad is doing well on it’s first day with Mona McSharry going into the 50m Breastroke final as the fastest qualifier. She also broke her own Irish Junior record with a time of 30:91. Mona won bronze in this event back in 2016. Her final will be at 19:10 Israeli time (17:10 Irish time), you can watch it in the live stream below.
Ellen Walshe just missed out on a place in the final of the 200m butterfly, she was ranked 10th after her semi-final.
